The Media Department is responsible for all media related items pertaining to the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. This includes publishing the quarterly newspaper, maintaining the website and administering all social media outlets including Facebook. The Media department also handles all Public Relations for the Nation.
The purpose of the Nation’s newspaper is to present to the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN) tribal members factual information on a quarterly basis about what is occurring within the PBPN in a fair and balanced manner. All Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation members have the right to know what is occurring within their government and the community and the Potawatomi News is a communication tool to accomplish that task. The Media Department strives to present an objective and ethical report to tribal members throughout the country. Keeping Nation members informed on important business matters and community happenings contributes to the sovereignty of the PBPN.
