The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation’s American Legion We-Ta-Se Post 410 will lead the 2019 Sunflower Salute Topeka Veterans Parade on Saturday, November 9, 2019, beginning at 11 a.m.
The We-Ta-Se will post colors in front of the main stage, located at 10th and Kansas streets, while the Topeka High School Madrigals perform the national anthem. Other plans include skydivers bringing in the American flag while a KC-135 refueling jet flies over the capitol building. After which, the We-Ta-Se will lead the parade procession down Kansas Avenue.
