Wade Pahmahmie is the new Director of Finance for the Prairie Band.
MAYETTA: Wade Pahmahmie has been named Director of Finance for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN), according to an announcement made yesterday by Hattie Mitchell, Tribal Council Treasurer. Pahmahmie has been acting interim director for the past several months and has worked as an assistant controller in the department since 2012.
Prior to that, he served as a contract specialist from 2000 until 2006 and then as an accountant II for six years. In the past he has been recognized by his peers as Employee of the Month in 2001 and Employee of the Quarter in 2009.
Pahmahmie holds a double major in business finance and business management from Washburn University. He is a tribal member and resides on the PBPN Common Land.
The Finance Department is supervised by the Office of the Tribal Council Treasurer and is staffed by fifteen employees who work in various areas including accounting, grants, procurement/purchasing, and per capita. The department is located on the upper level of the Government Center.
