Veterans Ceremony Held in Prairie People’s Park

A military ceremony was held at Prairie People’s Park today to honor four Prairie Band veterans who were added to the Memorial Wall.  Several We-Ta-Se veterans participated in the ceremony along with two Tribal Police officers, Tribal Chairman Steve Ortiz, and Sierra Pahmahmie who is the We-Ta-Se princess.  Veterans names added to the wall are Timothy G. Berry, Vietnam, Archie Eteeyan, WWII, Clyde E. Stewart, WWII, and Michael L. Johnson, U.S. Army.   There are a total of 371 names on the wall.  In related news, the 11th Annual Veterans Day Pow-wow will be held this Saturday at the 4-H building in Holton.
