Tribal Council Sponsoring Christmas Military Gift Drive

November 12, 2014 –

MAYETTA:  Tribal Council is sponsoring a gift drive that will mail Christmas packages to Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN)  members who are active military soldiers in the Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard.

Carrie O’Toole, Tribal Council member, is handling the gift drive and her office is requesting the name of the soldier, branch of service, rank, address, where he/she is currently stationed and any other information that might be helpful (state side or over seas, any kids, etc). Please email Carrie at  carrieo@pbpnation.org or Administrative Assistant Tina Mitchell at tinam@pbpnation.org  about names of soldiers and possible donations.  For individuals without email please call O’Toole’s office at 785.966.4048.

If staff of any of the tribal programs or departments is interested in donating any items  that is signified with the  PBPN seal or program-specific information please contact O’Toole’s office that is located in the Government Center. In the past, soldiers have numbered around 15 per year. Along that line, there is currently one member serving overseas whose Christmas package will have to be mailed this month so if there are others please submit the contact information as soon as possible.
