Tribal Council is sponsoring a Christmas package gift drive for Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation members who are active military soldiers in the Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard. This marks the seventh year of the gift drive and serves about 15 tribal service personnel each year.
Tribal Council member, Carrie O’Toole is the representative coordinating the drive. All participant information can be submitted to Carrie or administrative assistant Tina Levier at 785-966-4048 or via email atcarrieo@pbpnation.org or tinal@pbpnation.org.
To recommend a soldier include the following information:
– Name/Branch of service/Rank/Mailing address
– Feel free to include any additional personal information (i.e. first year stationed, kids, etc.)
All donation submissions can be dropped off or sent to O’Toole’s office located at the government center, 16281 Q Road, Mayetta, KS, 66509. Donations from tribal programs with items bearing the tribal seal or departmental information are greatly appreciated. Overseas packages will be mailed by Thursday, December 3, 2015 all others will be mailed by Wednesday, December 16, 2015.
