Tribal Council (TC) had a guest for lunch yesterday who was Father Francis D. Bakyor, third from left on back row, who is presently the pastor at Our Lady of the Snows Church on the common land.  Father Francis is on a sabbatical from the Damongo Diocese in Ghana, West Africa and said he had studied the Potawatomi tribe’s history and was interested in comparing his African tribal background to that of a Native American tribe. He also said he was delighted to meet the members of the Tribal Council.  Following lunch he was taken on a tour of the common land by PBPN staff members Arlene Lingo and Linda Yazzie while the Tribal Council re-convened for the afternoon. Council is also in session today.
