Tribal Council members Joyce Guerrero (second from left) and Carrie O’Toole (far right) attended the 69th National Congress of American Indians Conference last week in Sacramento, California. PBPN Chairman Steve Ortiz (in blue ribbon shirt) attended a proclamation signing ceremony to recognize November as Native American Heritage Month in Kansas last Friday at the Capitol. Governor Sam Brownback (sitting) signed the proclamation to honor the history and culture of American Indians and their influence and impact on the State of Kansas.
