Shawn Walker (PBPN) was sworn in to office today as the new Chief of Police for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation with Chairman Steve Ortiz conducting the oath of office. Walker has been the chief of police in Pleasanton, Kansas for approximately two years and was on the PBPN police force from 1997-1999. He has also served as a law enforcement officer for the Mission (Kan.) police department and as a reservist in the National Guard from 2002-2011.
