MAYETTA: The Gathering Committee has been busy planning activities and scheduling events for the upcoming 16th Annual 2009 Potawatomi Gathering to be held August 6-8 and now some of that information is available online.
By clicking on the Gathering icon on the home page of this site, you will find a schedule of the Gathering and other registration forms for events that are planned. All registrations that require fees must be downloaded and mailed to Paula Hopkins at 16281 Q Road, Mayetta,Kan. 66509 but the registration to the Gathering itself can be submitted online. There is also a map available that can be downloaded and veterans are being asked to register by mail to We-Ta-Se staff even though no fee is required. Other activities have also been highlighted on the site including the Language Conference and All Bands Council Meeting Economic Summit for tribal leaders that will be held at the Prairie Band Casino & Resort. A flier that lists hotels and contact information is also included at the bottom of the page.
