Indian Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (ICDBG-CARES Act) Citizen Participation and Comment Process

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has published an Implementation Notice for Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) Imminent Threat (IT) funding provided under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). ICDBG-CARES funds are made available by HUD for a variety of projects to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus, for emergencies that constitute imminent threats to health and safety.

Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation proposes to utilize funding from the ICDBG-CARES grant program to address the Nation’s lack of adequate, reliable internet within our community. Specifically, we wish to address our growing need for additional cellular towers and support to enhance internet connectivity to our members.
