MAYETTA: The pow-wow’s first grand entry took place last night with hundreds of dancers and 14 drum groups participating. We-Ta-Se American Legion Post #410 led the grand entry and the Head Staff was also introduced.
Jim Potter, Tribal Council Secretary, is on the Pow-wow Committee, and has been working hard along with other committee members.
Pow-wow royalty on the front row are Brennah Wahweotten (outgoing PBPN princess), Mittena Hale (2011-2012 princess). Sylvanna Levier Jessepe is in white regalia on second row and is the We-Ta-Se princess this year.
Northern Cree is Host Drum for the pow-wow.

The dancers entering the arena. Head staff were introduced last night and the competition began. There is food, and a lot of vendor booths and the weather is cooperating with cooler than expected temperatures.
