MAYETTA, KS – The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation is reporting one person under investigation (PUI). An individual has been identified for testing for the novel coronavirus COVID-19. Testing to determine whether or not this is a confirmed case is underway. The individual is now in a quarantined environment and prior to identifying symptoms had limited contact with the public.
Should the individual’s test result in a positive outcome, the Nation will work with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to identify any potential contacts.
The Nation strongly encourages everyone to adhere to social distancing and follow the recommendations of the KDHE and CDC.
