PBPN Hosts Four-Tribes Meeting Today

The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Tribal Council attended a Four-Tribes meeting today at the Prairie Band Casino & Resort and were photographed with representatives from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Kansas Democratic Party. In the photo, left to right, is Jim Potter, Carrie O’Toole, Steve Ortiz, Jancita Warrington, Gary Brunk, Joan Wagnon, Doug Bonney, Joyce Guerrero and Junior Wahweotten.  Brunk and Bonney are with the ACLU and Wagnon is Executive Director of the Kansas Democratic Party.  They were at the meeting to inform Native Americans about the new voter ID legislation that was passed by the State this year.  Other persons placed on the agenda for the day were Chris Howell, tribal liaison for the state of Kansas, David Neumayer, Western Area Power Administration, Judy McKee and Will McClammy, Topeka Veterans Administration, and Dave Chaffins and Ashley Kusi, KC Nike who discussed a partnership with Haskell.
