PBPN Election Results

7.25.20 -The winners from today’s election include Jessica Burghart – Ethics Commissioner #1, Wade Pahmahmie – Tribal Council Treasurer, and Allison Pahmahmie – Ethics Commissioner #3.

The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation held the 2020 Tribal Council and Ethics Commission Election today resulting in three wins, and three positions advancing to the Run Off Election slated for Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Both Ethics Commissioners #1 and #3 ran uncontested, resulting in wins by Jessica Burghart (#1) and Allison Pahmahmie (#3). Incumbent Tribal Council Treasurer Wade Pahmahmie won his seat with 600 votes for a 65.15% share of the votes, surpassing the 50% + 1 majority vote requirement.

Candidates in the races for Tribal Council Vice Chairperson, Council Member #2 and Council Member #3 will advance to the Run Off Election due to receiving less than the required 50% + 1 majority vote requirement.

The results of this election are considered unofficial pending the three day protest period.

Advancing to the Run Off Election for the Vice Chairperson position are incumbent Zach Pahmahmie and Liana Onnen, former PBPN Chairwoman.
