PBPN Come Together to Celebrate American Indian Day at Prairie Peoples Park

MAYETTA:  Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation tribal members and other American Indians celebrated together in honor of American Indian Day last Saturday, September 27 in Prairie Peoples Park.

The celebration consisted of pow-wow dancing and singing, a grand entry parade that was led by the We-Ta-Se Color Guard, and included other fun activities and events.

American Indian Day usually falls on the fourth Friday of every September and began in 1915.
