MAYETTA: Last Saturday Marcus Oliveira signed autographs at Lawrence Nutrition Center in Lawrence, Kan. to promote his upcoming boxing match that will be shown on Showtime network, Friday, April 12. Oliveira (24-0) will fight Ryan Coyne (21-0) at Treasure Island casino in Las Vegas to see who will move ahead in the division.
Oliveira (Menominee Potawatomi) lives on the Prairie Band Common Land and works at the Prairie Band Casino & Resort. He is a professional light heavyweight boxer and attended Haskell Indian Nations University where he played basketball and is still active in the Haskell Boxing Club.
