MAYETTA: Mammogram screenings were done today at Holton Community Hospital.
The screening was sponsored by the Prairie Band Health Center in collaboration with the Early Detection Works Program of Kansas & Healthy Living Kansas, KU Medical Center, Center for American Indian Community Health and the Susan Komen for the Cure organization that is adding a a short 10-minute educational program to the screening this year.
The event ran from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and included refreshments and a gift for participating. Iva Rank and Nancy Henry from the Prairie Band Health Center helped administer the screenings.
