Logo Contest Underway for Tribal Enterprises

January 13, 2010 –

MAYETTA:  The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation is sponsoring a logo contest for two new enterprises it has launched recently and has put out a call out for Native artists to design the logos.

 

The treasurer’s office is administering the contest that was announced yesterday through a flier released to PBPN email users. The logos should reflect the image of each enterprise and be culturally specific and entries are due on January 29 at 4 p.m. in the treasurer’s office that is located in the Government Center.  Winners will receive $50.

 

The two new enterprises:

 

Prairie Band Construction, Inc. is a construction services commercial general contractor business designed to focus on off-common land projects and projects set aside for minority contractors.

 

Prairie Band Potawatomi Health Services, Inc. is a healthcare staffing company that will specialize in providing services to military, veteran’s administration and tribal health centers.  It will recruit and place qualified healthcare employees to work in military, veteran’s administration and tribal health centers.

 

Both enterprises presently have offices in the Government Center and Tribal members will learn more about the new businesses at the General Council meeting scheduled for this Saturday at the Bingo Hall.  General Council meetings are for PBPN members only and not open to the public.
