It’s Pow-wow Time!

MAYETTA:  Pow-wow time is here and the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN) is gearing up to host the best one ever.   The park has been spruced up and Ashley “Mittena” Hale was chosen to reign as the new princess for 2011-2012 tonight.

Mittena Hale is 15 years old and was judged on interviewing, cooking and public speaking skills.  Judges for the competition were Amber Tecumseh, Kitty Shopteese, and Camilla Choteau.  A potluck and the drawing for door prizes was also held and Chago Hale was the MC for the evening.
