Governor Brownback Visits Nation

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback and members of his staff paid a visit to the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN) on Feb. 6 to discuss government to government relations and to take a tour of the Government Center.

On the back row, left to right, is Junior Wahweotten (PBPN Member) Camilla Chouteau (PBPN Secretary), Tom Wabnum (PBPN Member), Joyce Guerrero (PBPN Vice Chairperson), Hattie Mitchell (PBPN Treasurer), Carrie O’Toole (PBPN Member), John Clauser (Kansas General Counsel), Vivien Olsen (PBPN Attorney), Brant Laue (Kansas Chief Counsel), Marzha Fritzler (PBPN Law Clerk), and Tracy Streeter (Kansas Director of Water Office).  Present at the meeting but not pictured was Michael Hale (Kansas Attorney).

The Governor and his staff were also planning to travel and visit with other northeast Kansas tribes that day.
