SUN CITY, AZ – Shirley A. Munoz (Shopteese), 87, of Sun City, AZ formerly of Mayetta, KS passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, on June 14, 2017.
She is survived by her sons, Dana Munoz and Perry Munoz; daughter, Kateri Ware; grandchildren, Ricky, Kyler, Dane, Kelly, Arianna, Teresa, Enrique, Kevin, Hayden and Ethan; great grandchildren, Jordan and Xavier; brother, Robert Shopteese; many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. She was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Henry H. Munoz; her brother, John T. Shopteese; her parents, Mary J. and King P. Shopteese; her maternal grandparents, Jane (Wahquahboshkuk) Wahweotten and McKinley (step grandfather). Paternal grandparents were Mary Ann Tomey and Longhair Shopteese.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church in Mayetta. Burial will follow at the Shipshee Cemetery.
