Shirley Ann “Quish O Qua” Potts
January 23, 1960 – March 26, 2023

Shirley Ann (Potter) “Quish O Qua” Potts, 63, of Sabetha, KS, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Sabetha Manor. She was born January 23, 1960 in Topeka, KS the daughter of John William and Rema Julia (Wahweotten) Potter.

Shirley earned her GED and worked for Bureau of Indian Affairs in Horton for over 10 years. She had also lived in the Horton and Hoyt communities.

She was a member of Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and the First United Methodist Church.

Shirley married Eddy Rae Potts in 1977 at the Kickapoo Reservation. They later divorced.
Survivors include her daughter, Lorelie “Lori” Potts of Horton, KS; step-daughter, Becky Lea of Houstonia, MO; adoptive mother, Mary LeClere of Mayetta, KS; sister, Leona Briscoe of Dallas, TX; brother, Frank Parker; 6 grandchildren, Justine, Jace, Jade, Javyyn, Black Thunder and Shashone and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rema Potter; sister, Penny (Keesis) McCrory and brother, James McKinley Potter.

Drum Service was held Wednesday afternoon, March 29, 2023, at Danceground Building. Burial was Thursday afternoon, March 30, 2023, at Danceground Cemetery.
