Sherman “Sam” L. Marshno, 77, Tucumcari, N.M., died Feb. 15, 2009, in Albuquerque, N.M. He was born Oct. 6, 1931, in Topeka, the son of Ernest and Cecelia Marshno. Mr. Marshno served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Chris Marshno; a daughter, Cindy Burnett, Albuquerque, N.M.; a granddaughter, Kayla Burnett, Albuquerque, N.M.; and three sisters, Mary Ann Mitchell and Vicki Wahquahboshkuk, both of Mayetta, and Lori Wabnum, Sisseton, S.D. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 20 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Tucumcari, N.M. Interment will be in Tucumcari.
