ROBERT “Naotuk” PADILLA

TOPEKA, KS – Robert “Naotuk” Padilla, 60, of Topeka, KS passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020, at his home. He was born June 3, 1960, in Topeka, the son of Al Padilla and Marcella Nozhackum.

Bobby graduated from Bishop Ward High School in Kansas City. He worked as a printing press operator and in publication for Mainline Printing in Topeka. He proudly served in the United States Air Force.

Bobby was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and We-ta-se American Legion Post #410 in Mayetta, KS.

He is survived by his father, Al Padilla of Kansas City, KS; his children, Daylan Mzhickteno of Topeka, KS, Jon Jessepe (Tonya) of Horton, KS, Levi Nozhackum, Lillian Jessepe and Gavin Jessepe all of Mayetta and Summer Padilla of Topeka, KS; his sisters, Dolly Potts (Jeff) of Keshena, WI and Nina Hinds of Mayetta, KS; his brother, Vincent Hernandez of Mayetta. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Matchie.

Ttibekwe will be Tuesday evening at Nozhackum Hall west of Mayetta. Burial will be Wednesday morning at Shipshee Cemetery. He will lie in state until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton and Tuesday evening at Nozhackum Hall.
