Linda Schambera Obituary

 August 20, 2014

Linda Schambera left this world to begin her spiritual journey on Monday, August 4, 2014 surrounded by family and friends in Modesto, CA. From her birth in December of 1960 to her passing she nourished people around her with love, faith and her infectious laughter. She was born in Stockton to Robert Baker and Minnie Rose Lewis and was the oldest of three children. She attended Franklin High School, Delta College and at the age of 18, she joined the army. She was a certified Clinical Medical Assistant, massage therapist and in the last years of her life she was a life and health insurance broker.

Linda had a gift of reaching people in deep, meaningful and positive ways. She was a seeker of knowledge and always saw each day as a new lesson. In 1983, she gave birth to her daughter. She met and married the love of her life in 2003. She served the community through their spiritual practice at church. She was known as an avid animal lover, activist and rescuer of all dogs or cats who wandered into her yard.

Left to honor Linda and remember her love are her husband, Tim; her daughter, Tiffany Refuerzo (Paul Carson); sister, Susan Baker; brother, Bobby Baker; two nieces, Andrea Brown and Stephanie Brown; one nephew, Harrison Baker; family from the Lewis & LaClaire clan in Kansas and many close friends.

Linda will be remembered as a bright shining light in many communities. She was a free spirit who lived her life out loud, with no apologizes and will be remembered by all.
