G. Kay Snyder

G. Kay Snyder, 59, Lyndon, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2009 in Topeka. She was born Dec. 9, 1948, in Holton, Kansas the daughter of Rowlin and Goldie Hunter Steward.

Kay had lived in Mayetta most of her life until moving to Lyndon in 1979 where she has lived since.

She worked for General Printing and Paper in Topeka for 30 years. She was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. She also was a 39-year member of the T.W.B.A., where she made the Top 10 in 1977.

On Sept. 20, 1980 Kay married Jim Snyder in Lyndon.

Kay is survived by her husband Jim of the home, a sister, Opal Slocum and husband Virgil, Hoyt, a brother, Denny Steward (Mary Ann) of Topeka, a stepson, three stepdaughters and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Kay will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27,2009 at Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Kay will lie in state from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the LyndonCemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS66451.
