Donnis Josette Keo, 72, Of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her home in Horton, Kansas.
She was born on April 19, 1944 in Mayetta, Kansas the daughter of Louis & Helen Nahgonbe Oliver.
Donnis worked as a LPN Nurse for years until she retired. She was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Tribe.
On July 22, 1966 she married Jim Keo Sr. in Hiawatha, Kansas. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include, five daughters, Eleanor Banks, Tina (Ray) Wahwasuck, Shirley Keo, Juell (Chris) Tucker and Wanda Keo all of Horton, Kansas; son, James “Mokie” (April) Keo Jr. also of Horton, Kansas; a sister, Helen Williams Wilson of Rossville, Kansas; nineteen grandchildren and forty three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Thamar Morris, Sharon Pilcher, Cynthia Switch, Georgia Williams and Donna Oliver and a brother, Hank Williams.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation. Inurnment will be at the Keo Cemetery at a later date. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
