Donald L. Fleeman

YUCCA VALLEY, CA – In loving memory of our beloved Donald Lee Fleeman, 77, who passed away Wednesday, May 10th, at his home in Yucca Valley, California. Don, born September 27th, 1939 in Oakland, California, was the son of Clyde and Lena Lundin Fleeman.

He grew up in Topeka, Kansas graduating from Seaman High School in 1957, then went on to Emporia State University where he would earn his bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 1961, a Master’s degree in Music in 1965, and was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. Additionally, he was a proud member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Joe Lolli.

He is survived by his partner of 36 years, Richard Buchanan, his daughter Marie (Rob)VanHook, Sisters, Wanda (Jim) Treinen, Linda (Joe deceased) Lolli, Grandchildren Darren (Kaydee) Zelgewicz and David Zelgewicz (April Walmer), great grandson Matthew, nephews Craig (Ann) Treinen, Sam Treinen, Ryan (Kelly) Lolli. Nieces Angela (George) Johnson, Tracy (Shawn) Martin, Dacia (Tom) Henshaw, seven great nephews, five great nieces, and three loved fur babies.

Celebration of Life will be June 3rd, 10:00am at the Potawatomi United Methodist Church, 14413 0 Road, Mayetta, KS. Burial will take place at Mayetta Cementary following the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Potawatomi United Methodist Church.
