PACT Act Meetings Held for Veterans

The U.S. Veterans Administration (VA) hosted a PACT Act Meeting at the Prairie Band Casino & Resort on February 7, 2023. This meeting was the second in a series of six sessions hosted by the VA providing information for all U.S. Military Veterans concerning eligible benefits.

Veterans from all eras of service gathered at the Prairie Band Casino & Resort on February 7th to learn about healthcare resources open to them.

While the 2022 PACT Act was the main focus of the event, the VA had resources available to help all veterans get answers to questions they have concerning benefits afforded to them through the VA.

The PACT Act is a new law expanding VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances.

VA representative, Sarah Dervonvish said, “The PACT Act adds to the list of health conditions assumed (or “presumed”) are caused by exposure to these substances. This law helps us provide generations of Veterans—and their survivors—with the care and benefits they’ve earned and deserve.”

Veterans and their families can find out more about the PACT Act by visiting www.va.gov/PACT. This page will help answer your questions about what the PACT Act means for you or your loved ones.
