Lysette “Kimi” Morris – Gaming Commissioner Candidate
I’m Lysette “Kimi” Morris and excited to express my interest in Declaring Candidacy for Prairie Band Casino Resort, Mayetta, Kansas, Gaming Commissioner position.
I’m a proud descendant of the Nahgonbe and Wahquahboshkuk families. I’m dedicated to governance and peace by voting yes to the ongoing economic development of our Nation and appointed to Tribal Peacemakers. In my spare time, I’m an accomplished Native American Artist and Designer and maker of Beaded Jewelry.
Presently, I’m employed with PBCR for the past 18 years as a Resort Ambassador position along with previous experience as Security Officer. My gaming industry career has taught me the importance of balancing economic growth with social responsibility. In addition, I’ve held a Tribal Council Assistant position with unique experience of the importance of record keeping, computer program systems, and the vast operation of contracts and Tribal Programs.
My past education experience has been taking courses in business planning and management.
I have previously lived in Los Angeles, California with my family and returned to my home Reservation in the summer time to participate in Tribal Ceremonies.
My vision is to ethically serve our Nation to the best of my knowledge, guidance, and abilities.
I’m confident my unique blend of experience, passion, and commitment makes an ideal Gaming Commissioner. I highly appreciate your vote for me!
