Boxing Commission

We are pleased to announce that the tribe has formed the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Athletic Commission. The purpose of the Athletic Commission is to offer and sanction both professional and amateur sport activities including boxing and other athletic events on the reservation. The present board includes: Jr. Wahweotten, Chairman; Burton Warrington, Vice-Chair; and Roy Spoonhunter, Secretary.

The commission shall be responsible for the oversight and regulation of all professional sporting events involving licensed contestants, and in its discretion, amateur sport events, held within the jurisdiction of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, and shall ensure that the safety of the athletes, referees, and other persons engaged in the sport are protected.
