Mission statement: The purpose of the Nation's newspaper is to present to Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN) tribal members factual information on a quarterly basis about what is occurring within the PBPN in a fair and balanced manner. All Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation members have the right to know what is occurring within their government and the community and the Potawatomi News is a communication tool to accomplish that task. The News Department strives to present an objective and ethical report to tribal members throughout the country. Keeping Nation members informed on important business matters and community happenings also increases support for the Nation's tribal leaders and contributes to the sovereignty of the PBPN.
